You’re the reason we’re here. We can’t help it, my Team and I have so much respect and affinity for those of you following your Entrepreneurial vision, whether as a solo-preneur with a small product or service line, or an empire-builder creating the next multi-billion-dollar global brand.  We know what you’re up against.  We’ve been there, many times, and I have no doubt I’ll be there many more times.  I’m in love with creating stuff!

I believe Entrepreneurism is one of the greatest soul-shaping, character-crunching journey a person can take.  A perfect mirror of one’s gifts, capabilities, character flaws and fears.  A magnifying mirror. And, for those of us who are, being Entrepreneurial really isn’t a choice, it’s a necessity, a drive.   If it’s in your make-up, you can run but you can’t hide.  It’ll get you.

This morning I came across something from my friend, online business guru Mike Dillard, which speaks directly to the heart of why Video is so essential to business today.

Mike says that there’s been a shift, and we’re now operating in a “trust-based” economy.

This means it’s not really about the product or service you’re offering, it’s about who you are and the relationship you’re having with your marketplace.

The Internet is a Facebook place. No matter what business you’re in, this means you’ve got to find a way to step out and develop a personal relationship with your marketplace (in a virtual way, of course).

This isn’t about telling us about the muffin you’re having at Starbucks, or divulging the details of some childhood trauma.

Met Marc Ostrofsky, and was mesmerized by his talk at last night’s Austin Internet Marketing Party meeting. It’s pretty rare for me to attend networking events locally, but this is one I never miss. Be Like Bamboo?

Let’s Talk Branding

Branding, yes!  One of my favorite topics, because it combines Science, Business and Creativity.  What could be better than that!  I won’t be going into the science aspect here, but it’s very cool – involving brain function, visual language, and perception. So, let’s begin with what is Branding?  Entrepreneur Magazine gives this definition: The marketing [...]
